The NYC City Pinball League has already donated $100 to support the Leukemia walk team founded by our dear friend Penni.
In Addition to this, any prize money Penni wins in Season 2 will be matched and donated to her team by me (Max Pinball).
As you may (or may not) know Penni's one and only sister Julie was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) a few years ago.
In March 2007 she was selected to participate in a clinical drug trial that used a personalized immunotherapy vaccine to hopefully cure her. Julie received 12 out of the 16 shots and was then removed from the trial due to her Leukemia progression. Just to give you an idea, the average person has 4k - 10k white blood cells while she has 296k! So, on March 24th Julie started chemotherapy treatment that will last 4 - 6 months.
This year Penni is walking with Julie and her family as Team "Bad Blood Club" in the Light the Night Walk for Leukemia this September 13th in Wildwood, NJ.
